Perhaps this comment from Steve Jobs will shed light on the importance of critical thinking in terms of loving our profession and critically choosing our teams! Enjoy this wisdom!
Hmm. I would not have put that with critical thinking but see your point. I have always held that a great leaders surrounds themself with othe great people. One job I had I really had a great team by the time I moved and work was not perfect but it was smooth, even in the caos.
I think that some of what he's saying is very true about critical thinking, too. It's often easier to just follow the rules or the general protocol, or to do things the way they are always done. However, having a passion for doing things well supports the extra effort that we make to critically think about things, every hour and every day. To not accept that because patient A responded a certain way that patient B will respond the same way. Barbara
